1. Create your account (2 minutes)
Go to piye.dev/signup and sign up with Google, GitHub, or your email and a password. You start on Starter, the free plan. Every feature of Piye is included on every plan.
2. Get your free credits (1 minute)
Claim your free credits in the Piye app: sign in and click Claim. You get 750 credits to use within 30 days of claiming, and again every 6 months.
3. Sign in to the app (1 minute)
In Piye, press Sign in. Your browser opens piye.dev; confirm Use Piye on this computer, and the app is signed in. Your plan and credits show in Settings, Account.
4. Know what uses credits (2 minutes)
Credits pay for Piye's AI, nothing else:
- building and changing apps in Visual;
- the Code agent's work in Code and Piye Studio;
- Tab suggestions in the editor.
Every build, change and reply shows the credits it used. The account menu (top right) shows your last 14 days of use. The editor, terminal, previews, simulators, Git and publishing cost nothing.
On Starter, Visual builds on Fast, and Code runs on these models: Claude Opus 4.6 and 4.5, Claude Sonnet 4.6 and 4.5, Claude Haiku 4.5, Devstral 2 and Mistral Large 3.
5. Choose how you pay for AI (2 minutes)
| Option | Good for |
|---|---|
| Starter | Trying Piye: 750 credits once |
| Pro (€25 + VAT a month) | Building regularly: 2,000 credits a month, unused ones carry over a month |
| Pro+, Ultra | More credits and room for larger models: 5,600 and 16,000 a month |
| Business (€40 + VAT a seat a month) | Teams: credits shared by everyone, one invoice |
| Your own API key | Developers in Code who already pay an AI company directly |
Prices are before VAT. Upgrade from Pricing or Settings, Account. See Plans and pricing.
6. Set your limits (2 minutes)
On a paid plan, when the month's credits run out you can pay as you go: 720 credits for every €10 + VAT. In Billing, turn on auto top-up and set a monthly limit it never goes past. Piye also pauses and asks if a single day uses half a month's credits.
