Before you start
- Install Piye and open it. When it asks, choose Build visually.
- Sign in and claim Starter's free credits.
That's all. You don't need accounts anywhere else to build and try your app.
1. Describe your idea (2 minutes)
In the Describe your idea box, write what you want in a few sentences. Say who it's for, what they do, and what matters. For example:
A booking app for my yoga studio. People see the week's classes, book a spot and pay for a class pass. I see who's coming to each class.
Prefer to start from something ready? Open Templates and pick one, like Classes & studios. See Templates.
2. Choose your options, if you like (1 minute)
Open Advanced settings to name the project, list must-have features, pick a look, and choose a website, a phone app or both. Everything is optional: Piye picks what fits your idea. Then press Create Project. With Architect first, Piye plans the app with you in the chat before it builds. See New project options.
3. Watch it build (5 minutes)
Piye builds the whole app. The Blueprint shows each step, and the Preview shows the app as it comes together. When it's done, Piye opens every screen, fixes what's broken, and tells you in the chat what it made and how to try it, with a demo account to sign in with.
4. Try it (1 minute)
Open Preview and use your app like a customer: sign up, book, pay with Stripe's test card 4242 4242 4242 4242. Emails your app sends land in the Outbox. Switch to Phone to see it on a phone screen.
5. Change something (1 minute)
Two ways:
- Ask in the chat: "make the booking button bigger and green", "add a page with our teachers".
- Click it: turn on Visual Edit, click any text, colour or picture in the preview and change it yourself.
Every change is saved in the Timeline, so you can always undo.
