Signing in and AI

| "You're out of credits" | This period's credits are used up | Open Billing: pay as you go or move to a bigger plan. With your own key or Ollama, Code keeps working. See Credits and usage. |
| "Piye paused to protect your credits" | One day used half of a month's credits | Choose Keep going today, or wait until midnight (UTC). |
| A model marked Pro or API key | You are on Starter and the model isn't in Starter's list | See plans, or add your own key for that maker in Settings, AI. |
| The AI does nothing, or "AI is off" | Disable AI or Privacy Mode is on | Turn it off in Settings. In Privacy Mode, local models through Ollama still work in Code. |
| A key you pasted isn't saved | The maker refused it | Check the key on the maker's site, that billing is on there, and paste it again. |
| "Ollama is running, but no models are pulled yet" | Ollama has no models | Download one, for example ollama pull llama3.2, then press Refresh in Settings, AI. |
Projects and the agent

| A command fails with "Operation not permitted" | The sandbox stopped it writing outside the project | The agent can ask to run it outside the sandbox; approve the card if you agree. |
| "Agent commands run without a sandbox here" (Linux) | bubblewrap isn't installed, or your Linux blocks it (Ubuntu 24.04 and later) | Commands that leave the project still ask first. Install bubblewrap if your distribution allows it. |
| Send data to (site)? | The agent wants to send something in a web address | Allow it only if you expected it. Choose Don't send otherwise. |
| "Where your keys are kept" in Settings (Linux) | Your computer has no keyring | Piye keeps keys in a file only your user can read. Install GNOME Keyring or KWallet to use the system's encryption. |
Previews and phones

| The preview is empty | Previews start when you press Run preview, or right after a build | Press Run preview. If it stops with an error, ask Piye to fix it. |
| No iPhone simulator to choose | Apple's Xcode isn't installed | Install Xcode from the Mac App Store, then open Settings, iPhone and Android. See Phones on your computer. |
| The disk is nearly full | Simulators, phone builds and tools take space | Open Settings, Free up space to remove what you no longer need. |
Updates

| No update ever appears | Auto-Update may be off | Turn it on in Settings, Developer, Updates, or press Check for Updates. |
| On Linux, "Piye (version) is out" | Linux can't update a package by itself | Press Download and install the new package. See Updates. |
