One keymap, every computer

Piye has one keymap. Cmd on a Mac is Ctrl on Windows and Linux. Where a system keeps a key for itself, Piye uses another one there: for example, on a Mac CmdH hides the app, so Replace is CmdAltF; Cmd` switches windows, so the terminal is Ctrl`.

Two-step shortcuts are written "then": CmdKthenCmdS means press CmdK, let go, then press CmdS.

Preferences and Piye

In the chat, Enter sends and ShiftEnter adds a line. With Submit with Cmd+Enter on (Settings, AI), CmdEnter sends and Enter adds a line. While the agent works, Enter reaches it at its next step and CmdEnter waits until it's done.

Change a shortcut

1. Open Settings, Keymap (CmdKthenCmdS).
2. Find the command: type part of its name, or keys such as cmd+p or ctrl+shift.
3. Click Edit and press the new keys.
4. Reset takes a key back to Piye's default.

If you press keys your computer keeps for itself, Piye says so (for example, on a Mac CmdQ quits and CmdSpace opens Spotlight; on Windows AltF4 closes the window).

Shortcuts for one project

A project can have its own shortcuts in .piye/keybindings.json. They win over yours, which win over Piye's defaults:

mod means Cmd on a Mac and Ctrl elsewhere. A two-step shortcut has a space between the steps: "mod+k mod+s".
