The Deploy view
Open Deploy from the side panel's view menu. It has three views (Settings, Panels sets which opens first):
- Ship: choose a host, sign in, and deploy.
- Docker engine: images, containers, Compose and registries.
- History: your deployments.
Hosts
| Group | Hosts |
|---|---|
| Quick deploy (zero config) | Vercel (Next.js default, EU regions available), Cloudflare Pages, Railway, Hostinger |
| EU sovereign (data stays in Europe) | Hetzner + Coolify, OVHcloud, Scaleway |
| Self-hosted | Coolify, on your own server |
| Global cloud | AWS Amplify, Google Cloud Run |
Sign in to a host once from Piye: some open the host's own sign-in in your browser, others take a token you create on the host. Tokens are kept in your computer's secure storage. Piye runs each host's own command-line tool for you; you don't need to install them first.
Ship
- Deploy Now deploys to production; Preview deploy makes a preview address.
- The log shows each step (it expands while a job runs, if Expand log while deploying is on).
- When it's done, Copy URL or Open in browser.
- Domains attached to the project show once the folder is linked to the host.
- Environment variables are listed by name with their sync state; values are never shown.
Docker
- Generate Dockerfile when the project has none, then review it with the agent (its edits wait for your Accept).
- See Images, Containers and Compose services, pull an image, and remove what you don't need.
- Registry: sign in to Docker Hub (in the browser, with a device code) or a private registry, and push.
- Ship a container: Build & ship to Cloud Run, or build and deploy to Railway or Scaleway.
If Docker Desktop isn't running, Piye says the engine is offline; Railway's and Cloud Run's cloud builds still work.
AI help
With Show AI assist on (Settings, Panels), Deploy has controls to ask the Code agent to explain or fix a failed deploy. The agent never deploys without asking you.
Phone apps
Phone apps don't deploy to a host: ship their store builds from Apps, Stores. See Apps and previews. For people who don't code, Visual's Publish does the whole website and store process with checks: see Publish your website.
