Open Settings
Open your account menu (the round button at the top right) and choose Settings, or press Cmd, on a Mac (Ctrl, on Linux). Search at the top of Settings finds any setting by name.
In Visual, Settings shows what matters for building apps. Switch to Code to see the developer settings too (see Settings reference).
Account
Your name and email, your plan, and your Piye credits: credits left, this period's, carried over, Starter credits and bought ones. Buttons open plans and billing on piye.dev. See Sign in and your account.
General
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Piye answers in | The language Piye's AI writes to you in: plans, answers, questions. Piye's own buttons and menus are in English for now. |
| Start in | Which side of Piye you land in: Visual, Code, or Last used. |
| Reopen | What you see when Piye starts: the project you were working on, or the welcome screen. |
| Show first | Open your project on the Blueprint, or straight on the Live preview. |
| Restore windows | Reopen Piye at its last size and position. |
| Save my changes automatically | Keep your work saved as you go, so nothing is lost. |
Appearance
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Theme | Piye's colours, light or dark. |
| Interface size | Draws Piye's screens smaller or larger. Your app's preview keeps its own size. |
Publishing
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Host | Where Piye puts your app online when you press Publish: Vercel, Cloudflare Pages, Railway or Hostinger. |
| Account | Your account at that host. |
| Address | Your app's live address, once published. |
| Your own domain | Connect a domain like yourshop.com. See Your own web address. |
| Tell me when it's done | A notification when publishing finishes while Piye is in the background. |
| Show what's happening | Open the step-by-step details while publishing. |
| AI help when something goes wrong | Offer to explain and fix a failed publish. |
Hetzner, Coolify or your own server are set up in Code, under Deploy.
Handoff
Invite people and manage their access, open an invite someone sent you, and Allow invites. See Handoff and invites.
AI
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Use AI | Off: Piye builds and answers nothing with AI until you turn it back on. |
| Tell me when the agent finishes or needs me | A notification when a chat you left is done or waits for you, and a count on Piye's icon. |
| How Piye builds | Fast, Auto or Customize. See New project options. On Starter, Fast. |
| Look over the app after each build | Piye opens every screen and fixes what's broken before you see it. Off: faster, but nothing is checked. |
| Piye answers in | The same language choice as in General. |
| Tools the AI can use | Opens Integrations, where connections to services like GitHub, Figma or a database are managed. |
Integrations
Services connected to Piye: the app stores, hosts, and connections (called MCP) that Piye's Code agent can use. Most people building in Visual don't need to change anything here.
iPhone and Android
Where the phones on this computer stand: what's ready and what's left to download. Piye gets them ready itself the first time you run an app on one; the only thing you install is Apple's Xcode, for iPhones. See Phones on your computer.
Free up space
What Piye has downloaded (phone software, tools, build files) and how much space each takes, with a button to remove what you no longer need.
Privacy & about
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Keep my chats for | Older conversations are removed from this computer after this long: 30 days, 90 days, 1 year or forever. |
| Privacy mode | Nothing about your app leaves this computer: Piye's AI and your own keys are off. Building needs them, so only asking questions with a local model works. |
| About Piye | Your version, which Piye Cloud it uses, and links to help, the community, what's new, support and feature requests. |
